Meet Chris
Inspired by his grandmother, he started his apprenticeship as chef, in one of the best and multi award winning top restaurants in The Black Forest, Germany.
As apprentice of the Year, he got the opportunity to work and learn in one of
THE LEADING HOTELS OF THE WORLD.
His culinary journey began being trained in international modern Haute Cuisine.
Chris guest list included international high ranking politicians like the President of Germany, members of Germany’s highest Federal Constitutional Court, the Federal Court of Justice, Princes & Margraves, The House of Fabergé, The House of Grimaldi, The Principality of Monaco and The British Royal Family.
Chris was part for a brigade for a function which had high calibre chefs on the guest list:
Paul Bocuse, Paul Heberlin & Gaston Lenôtre just to name a few.
Chris owned and managed successfully two restaurants in Germany.
Chris migrated from Germany to Sydney in 2000 just before the Olympic Games and enjoyed working with some of Australia’s best chefs in “hatted” restaurants and 5 star hotels for about 3 years. He returned to Germany and came back to Australia in 2008, worked in Melbourne in a number of distinguished establishments for over 7 years.
Before relocating to the Sunshine Coast in 2016, he worked as relief chef and loved being a part of a team in a variety of different roles. Chris is a versatile chef, capable of providing both fine dining and casual styles of food.
He always preferred the simple down to earth cuisine, with fresh regional produce.
Chris specialises in following: Regional German Cuisine from the Black Forest and Bavaria, Traditional Italian Cuisine, Classic & Nouvelle French Cuisine and the Mediterranean Cuisine.
Chris gained a deep knowledge about Hospitality within the Nursing Home & Aged Care Industry in various facilities across Sydney, Melbourne, the Gold Coast & the Sunshine Coast.
Outside the kitchen, Chris likes vintage stereo and cars and being outdoors.
On his days off, you can find Chris in the garden or in his workshop and gets creative there as well with painting and timberwork.
Chris is a highly motivated, efficient and organised qualified chef by trade and studied hospitality management. He has extensive hospitality and management experience and is thriving in a high-pressure and team environment, delivering mouthwatering and memorable bites.

Kathrin is a highly organised Admin Professional with great analytical skills and a love for numbers.
With German and Australian formal Qualifications and Diplomas, she has a wide range of capabilities within Retail, Sales & Marketing, Travel & Tourism, Accounting, Wholesale, International Trade & Logistics.
Kathrin loves baking and is a passionate photographer.
